Suzuki modified early GSX1100*cylinder heads during the 1981/1982 period part way through a model run.
The main difference is obvious on the cam cover/tappet cover gasket which is 11173-49207-H17 for earlier models followed by the 11173-49224-H17 for later ones.
*same applies to GSX750 engines in same period
On models that use the 11173-49224-H17 gasket, the bolt holes have been re-arranged and extra clamping provided around the front of the camchain tunnel
The breather cover gaskets are also different between one cylinder head type and the other
