TRIUMPH 800/900 TWINS TITANIUM JET KIT
The “800” Triumphs are wonderful, modern renditions of the early “unit” and “pre-unit” “Bonnies” and “America’s” – were always known as one of the best handling bikes in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s.
Smoother (!!) and more reliable bikes than the early golden days of motorcycling – a recommended bit of updated twin nostalgia – The larger Thruxton’s and T100 tune the same.
Best (only?) “drop-in” kit available. Nice even power improvement.
Not really fussy about main jet selection (other than the bike loses 1 hp on either side of the perfect, best main jet). Needle height is pretty cut and dried, with little fiddling required, from what we’ve seen and heard.
Nice kit and easy to install – a genuine pleasure to work on a bike that was easy to tune!
As usual, boosts power a bit at full throttle, improves throttle response and wheelie ability. Definitely pulls harder out of 2nd and 3rd gear corners. Gets rid of that pesky flat spot at low rpm, when properly setup.
